What Arizona credits and deductions does FileYourStateTaxes not support currently?
Currently, the tool does not support:
- Public School Tax Credit.To qualify for this credit, you must:
- Have paid school-related fees or donated money to a public school
- Provide school information, including the CTDS code
- Property Tax Credit. To qualify for this credit you must:
- Be 65 or older; or receive Supplemental Security Income, and;
- Have total household income less than $3,751 if you live alone; or total household income less than $5,501 if you live with others.
- Have paid property taxes or rent on a home in Arizona during the year
- Nonrefundable credits listed on AZ Form 301, including:
- Credit for Contributions to Qualifying Charitable Organizations
- Credit for Contributions to Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organizations
- Arizona 529 plan contributions deduction
- Itemized deductions
Additionally, you cannot use this tool to:
- Add dependents not claimed on the federal return
- Claim estimated taxes paid in 2023
- Claim credits you want to carry over from a prior year tax return. For example, if you claimed a nonrefundable credit last year that was greater than your taxes owed, you cannot use this tool to claim the remainder of that prior year credit.
- Make voluntary contributions directly on your tax return
